Bishop calls same-sex weddings 'kadiri'

MANILA, Philippines - Bishop Teodoro Bacani said the pastors who allowed the same-sex weddings over the weekend should be prosecuted and revoked of their licenses.

He said "pwedeng i-prosecute yun pastor for doing something illegal. Sigurado ako wala iyan marriage license. Pwede rin i-revoke ang lisensya ng nagkasal."

The unions were solemnized by the pastors of the Metropolitan Community Church of Metro Baguio at the Ayuyang Bar.

The Catholic Bishops' Conference of the Philippines (CBCP) earlier tagged the weddings as an insult to the Roman Catholic Church.

The Philippines remains a conservative country, with the Church a big part in discussions such as at the reproductive health (RH) and divorce bills.

Bacani described the weddings as, “Napangitan ako talaga, kadiri, para tayong gaya gaya puto maya. Laban ito sa salita ng Diyos.”

Bacani added that people who would be invited to future same sex marriages should not attend.

“Dapat i-boycott iyan at hindi na dapat magpunta ang mga iimbitahan. It is not right for people to participate, against moral grounds,” he said. – by Sheryll Mundo, ABS-CBN News

hahaha

wika nga na ni mami d, MALASWAH!

practice makes perfect, but nobody's perfect... so why practice? duh?!

The Church should stay out of politics

They should clean their own homosexuals first, or even worse should stop priest abusing children.

I find this practise a lot more """" Kadiri "" then two people who love each other want to be together and share their love.

No Offencement

I have nothing against people of same sex showing their love and affection with each other, but not to the extent of getting married? Aside from the fact that it's not accepted by the society, there are a lot of complications that they have to face. When they do fill out applications of anything and asked about personal details, would they say that their wives or husbands are of the same gender? it is totally ridiculous and this practice should be abhorted by all means.Even Boy Abunda being known as a supporter for gay rights is not considering getting married to his partner for 28 years now? So, why make your life miserable and complicated when you can even enjoy life in it's simplest way?

Just my thought.

huh?

you mean "no offense meant" not no offensement... word ba yan? bago ah?

practice makes perfect, but nobody's perfect... so why practice? duh?!

is bishop bacani being honest?

Bishop Bacani was denounced by a female staffer for improper sexual touches on her person. This is the person who denounces the right of others to form legal and moral alliances through consensus. This kind of act is usually called hypocrisy. But of course, the church judges others, not itself.
