MANILA -- The upcoming Manila concert of folk band The Lumineers has been cancelled due to "unforeseen circumstances."

This was announced by the band and was relayed through the official Facebook and Twitter accounts of concert organizer and promoter Midas Promotions Philippines on Tuesday.

"Regrettably we have to cancel the forthcoming concert in Manila due to unforeseen circumstances. Tickets will be refunded at point of purchase. We apologize for any inconvenience caused, and want to thank the fans for their continued support," said the band's official Facebook account.

The band, which is also going to Japan, was supposed to perform at the World Trade Center on July 28.

The Grammy-nominated band is then set to resume their 2014 concert tour in South America, starting with Colombia on November 20.

No other tour dates has been cancelled as of writing.

The five-member band from Colorado -- founded by Wesley Schultz and Jeremiah Fraites -- is best known for their chart-topping hit "Ho Hey."

As of 2014, the band has released one self-titled album and five other tracks, which were included in the deluxe edition of their first outing.

The band is currently embroiled in a controversial copyright infringement case involving former band member Jason Van Dyke.
