MANILA, Philippines - (1st UPDATE) Three local airlines are offering discounted fares on flights to selected Asian destinations.

Airphil Express, for one, is selling one-way tickets to Hong Kong for P888 each as the airline prepares to inaugurate its Cebu-Hong Kong leg. The tickets are good for travel from July 28 to August 31.

Customers can book their flights online until July 31, the company said in a statement.

"Hong Kong is a very cosmopolitan destination but there are a lot of eco-adventure tours that you can join if you're a nature lover," said Alfredo Herrera, Airphil Express senior vice president for marketing and sales.

Hong Kong is considered a shopping mecca in Asia with its malls, boutiques and street markets. Top hunting grounds in the city include Tsim Sha Tsui, Harbour City on Canton Road, and the Temple Street Night Market.

The former British colony also has well-known tourist destinations such as Victoria Peak, Hong Kong Disneyland, Hong Kong Museum of Art, Wong Tai Sin Temple and Man Mo Temple.

South East Asian Airlines (SEAIR), on the other hand, is offering discounted one-way tickets to Macau from its hub in Clark, Pampanga at P1,099 each until July 20. These are good for travel from August 1 to March 31 next year.

Macau, located on the western side of the Pearl River Delta in Guangdong province, is one of the 2 special administrative regions in China. The other one is Hong Kong.

Previously a Portuguese colony, Macau offers travelers a mix of eastern and western cultures through its Chinese temples. Among its popular tourist attractions are the Senado Square, A-Ma Temple, Dom Pedro V Theater, Casa Garden and the Ruins of St. Paul's Church.

Macau also has a number of big name casinos such as the Venetian and MGM Grand from the United States, making itself known as the "Las Vegas of the East."

Meanwhile, Cebu Pacific said its one-way tickets from Manila to Kota Kinabalu in Malaysia, which are good for travel from November 1 to January 31, 2012, are priced as low as P488 each.

Manila-Taipei flights can be booked online for at least P888 per person, while one-way flights to South Korea's Busan or Incheon or Japan's Osaka from Manila or Cebu cost as low as P2,099 each. These are valid for travel from September 1 to October 31, 2011.

Cebu Pacific said the seat sale is until July 18.
