'Dial-a-driver' aims to curb drunk driving
MANILA, Philippines – A chauffeur service operating in Metro Manila aims to prevent drunk drivers from roaming the streets of the Metro.
Owners of Dial-A-Driver Manila said most of its clientele are women who go out on a night of drinking and rather have a driver bring them home than drive their vehicle intoxicated.
The service, now on its 2nd year, provides professional drivers on a short-term basis.
Customers can hire drivers who will drive their vehicle for a half-day service (6 hours), whole-day (12 hours) or overnight (24 hours).
The service also provides drivers for day errands, out-of-town business or leisure trips, company events, weddings, balikbayans and expatriates not familiar with Manila traffic.
The company can also refer a full-time driver from its pool of “skilled, honest and polite drivers.”
