Pacquiao, Charice top July Google search
MANILA, Philippines - Manny Pacquiao and Charice Pempengco were the most searched terms in Google among Filipino netizens in the month of July, according to Google Zeitgeist. The search engine tracked down the searches made by Filipinos and tallied the results.
Pound-for-pound boxing champ and now Sarangani Congressman Manny Pacquiao topped Filipinos' Google searches as his countrymen awaited news about a possible match between him and Floyd Mayweather Jr.
International teen singing sensation Charice Pempengco occupied the second hottest topic for July as Filipinos googled news and features about the singer's Botox and Thermage treatments before joining the cast of "Glee", the popular American musical comedy show on TV. Many Filipinos reacted strongly to the 18-year-old singer's "cosmetic" treatments, saying she was too young for the procedures.
Third hottest name to be searched in July was Sen. Panfilo Lacson whose whereabouts are still unknown. The senator went into hiding in January this year to evade arrest for his supposed involvement in the murder of publicist Bubby Dacer and his driver Emmanuel Corbito 10 years ago. The National Bureau of Investigation is still pursuing Lacson.
Typhoon Basyang was the fourth most-searched term in Google among Filipinos last month as people looked for information about its path, the preparations needed, and the resulting aftermath. A blackout blanketed Metro Manila and parts of Luzon and casualties were reported after Basyang left.
And the fifth most searched term is UAAP. The 73rd season of the University Athletic Association of the Philippines is ongoing, and sports fans, whether they are still in college or not, are rooting for their respective school teams.

Wow ang grabe naman ng dalawang ito. I agree that Pacquiao will always be on top of Google Searches for Philippines until he ends his boxing career.
