THE LIST: Pinay winners in Miss World
MANILA – All eyes are now on actress Megan Young – not because of a new showbiz project, but because of her win in this year’s Miss World Philippines pageant.
Young was named the third Miss World Philippines winner at the coronation night held at the Solaire Resort and Casino in Pasay City on Sunday. She will represent the country at the Miss World 2013 pageant in Indonesia this September.
Aside from the crown, she also won a number of special awards – Best in Fashion Runway, Miss Sports by Fila, Miss World Laguna, Miss Bold and Glamorous by Revlon, Miss Olay and Miss Bench Body.
Young was the only celebrity contestant in this year’s Miss World Philippines competition organized by Cory Quirino Global Quest Inc. since 2011.
