Gov't, netizens pay tribute to Robredo online
MANILA, Philippines – A government tribute to late Interior and Local Government Secretary Jesse Robredo is a nationwide, social media-driven effort.
On www.gov.ph, the government put up a special page for Robredo, who was much-loved by Bicolanos and others who believed that he embodied the “tuwid na daan.”
On the page, it says, “Jesse Manalastas Robredo. Mabuting ama. Mapagmahal na asawa. Mapagkalingang anak. Tapat na kaibigan. Lingkod bayan. Nagueño. Bicolano. Higit sa lahat, Pilipino.”
