Who won in 2013 Palanca Awards?

MANILA – The Carlos Palanca Memorial Awards for Literature, more popularly known as the Palanca Awards, recently honored its newest set of winners in a ceremony held at The Peninsula Manila in Makati City.

Now on its 63rd year, the country’s most prestigious and longest-running literary competition received more than 1,100 literary entries. Of the number, the judges picked 58 winning pieces which will be accessible via the Palanca Awards’ official website and its research facility.

Organized by the Carlos Palanca Foundation, the Palanca Awards aims to develop Philippine literature by providing incentives for writers to come up with their best literary works.

Aside from the awards in different categories, the Palanca Foundation conferred the Gawad Dangal ng Lahi award to its guest of honor, Dr. Cirilo Bautista.
