‘Alay Kulay’ exhibit
An art exhibit for the benefit of Habagat victims in Southern Tagalog will open at 2 p.m. on Sunday (September 9) at St. Clement’s Missionary, Mariposa St. in Cubao, Quezon City.
Titled “Alay Kulay: Sining Handog sa Kapwa at Kalikasan,” the exhibit is organized by the Southern Tagalog Serve the People Corps, Kalikasan Partylist Southern Tagalog, Artists’ Arrest, Southern Tagalog Exposure and Redemptionist Seminary.
It will run until September 11.
Featured artists include Joseph “Otep” Ablay, Dante Palmes, Ritche Yee, Emil Yap, Egai Fernandez, Fr. Teodie Holagado and Jenifer Romulo.
Globe’s iPhone deals
Globe Telecom Inc. is offering iPhone packages this weekend (September 8 and 9) at its store in SM Megamall.
The company said customers can get an iPhone 3GS at a P999 postpaid package, which includes unlimited mobile surfing and a “freebie.” The deal is under a 30-month lock-in period.
The iPhone 4 16GB or 32GB, on the other hand, is included in Globe’s P1,799 postpaid package, which comes with unlimited mobile surfing, P800 monthly consumable amount for calls and texts, and three “freebies.”
The iPhone 4S 16GB, meanwhile, is available at P1,999 per month at the company’s P1,799 postpaid plan and a cash out of P200 for 24 months.
Globe said the iPhone 4 and 4S deals will also be available in its stores nationwide while supplies last.
The iPhone promos are available to existing Globe users as well as new subscribers, but the latter are required to bring a filled-up application form, identification cards, proof of billing address and proof of financial capacity.
Aside from postpaid deals, Globe said they will also offer prepaid packages for iPhones this weekend: iPhone 3GS 8GB at P13,500, iPhone 4 16GB at P19,100, iPhone 4 32GB at P22,700, iPhone 4S 16GB at P36,690, iPhone 4S 32GB at P42,490, and iPhone 4S 64GB at P48,290.
FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Finals
Cable channel Balls will air the 2012 FIFA U-20 Women’s World Cup Finals live from its host country, Japan, this Saturday.
Teams USA and Germany are set to compete for the title at the National Olympic Stadium in Tokyo starting 6:20 p.m.
Meals for the ladies on ‘Curiosity Got the Chef’
Chef Sharwin Tee will create sumptuous delights that will prompt the ladies to say “yes” on the “Brady Brunch” episode of “Curiosity Got the Chef,” which has a replay on Saturday.
In the episode, Tee will teach the guys how to prepare breakfast winners “Tocino Eggs Benedict,” “Fried Mustard Tomato with Peach Relish” and “Shrimp and Avocado Muffins.”
“Curiosity Got the Chef” airs on Lifestyle Network every Wednesday at 9:30 p.m., with encore telecasts every Saturday at 6 p.m., Sunday at 10 a.m. and Tuesday at 5 p.m.
Bathroom designs on ‘Interior Motives’
This Saturday, Angel Aquino takes viewers to different bathroom designs on Lifestyle Network show “Interior Motives.”
In the episode, Aquino will compare three bathroom designs by interior designers Tessa Alindogan, Edz of ARKIZENS and Gretchen Ronquillon.
“Interior Motives” airs every Saturday at 7 p.m. on Lifestyle Network.
Tribute to grandparents on ‘MMK’
“Maalaala Mo Kaya” celebrates Grandparents’ Month by sharing a heartwarming story of three loving grandmothers on Saturday topbilled by three of the country’s highly acclaimed actresses – Coney Reyes, Pinky Marquez and Boots Anson-Roa.
The September 8 episode tells the story of how three grandmothers make sacrifices to ensure the welfare of their grandson.
Aside from Reyes, Marquez and Anson-Roa, the “MMK” episode also stars Biboy Ramos, Karel Marquez, Ryan Ramos and Justin Gonzales.
“MMK” airs every Saturday on ABS-CBN after “Wansapanataym.”
