Look who's here: Rihanna back in Manila
MANILA (UPDATED) -- Rihanna has returned.
The international pop star and her 13-member entourage arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) Terminal 1 at around 6:15 p.m. on Thursday, a little over an hour before her concert at the Mall of Asia Arena in Pasay City.
The 25-year-old Barbadian singer, who is behind the global hits "Umbrella" and "We Found Love," is performing for her Filipino fans as part of her "Diamonds World Tour."
Manila is one of the three Asian stops of the tour, which has so far visited over 60 cities around the world. The concert series is set to make 19 more stops until November 15.
For the Philippine concert, American DJ tandem Good Times Ahead will perform as the opening act. More popularly known as GTA, the Miami-based duo has toured with Rihanna in parts of Europe.
Rihanna, whose real name is Robyn Fenty, first performed in the Philippines in 2008 for her "Good Girl Gone Bad Tour." Held at the Bonifacio Global City Open Field in Taguig, the concert featured as special guest Rihanna's boyfriend, singer Chris Brown. -- with a report from Raoul Esperas
