The Killers, Tiesto Manila-bound
MANILA -- After Rihanna's recent concert featuring global pop hits, Filipino music fans can look forward to live performances of rock band The Killers, and electronic dance musician DJ Tiesto when they land in Manila in the coming days.
Performing for the first time in the Philippines, The Killers will stage a one-night concert at the Smart Araneta Coliseum in Quezon City on Thursday, September 26 as part of their "Battle Born World Tour."
The American rock band -- composed of Brandon Flowers, Dave Keuning, Mark Stoermer and Ronnie Vannucci Jr. -- are behind the hits "Mr. Brightside," "Somebody Told Me" and "Human."
DJ Tiesto, whose real name Tijs Michiel Verwest, meanwhile, is returning to the Philippines for a third time to stage the Manila stop of his "Club Life" tour.
The Grammy-nominated Dutch musician is expected to spin hits like "Beautiful World," "Work Hard Play Hard" and "We Own the Night" when he performs on October 3, also at the Big Dome.
Both concerts are promoted locally by Ovation Productions.
