WEST HOLLYWOOD, California -- Nicknamed the “Jonas sister,” television, movie and Broadway star Anna Maria Perez de Tagle is on her way to the Philippines.

Broadway star Anna Maria Perez de Tagle

This is the first time the Disney turned Broadway star is going back to the Philippines since she was 8 years old.

She will be opening for her “Camp Rock” co-stars the Jonas Brothers for their tour stops in Manila and Cebu but she plans on staying in the Philippines for about an extra month.

“We can't wait to perform especially opening for the Jonas Brothers and a lot of my Filipino fans have been asking me and tweeting me to visit again so they're very, very excited. And I can't wait to eat the food and the fruits and the site seeing and shopping and my parents are going to be excited because they haven't been back in 12 years as well,” Perez de Tagle said.

Fresh off her successful performance on Broadway's “Godspell,” Perez de Tagle is also rumored to be in the running to play the lead in a possible “Miss Saigon” motion picture adaptation.

“It's still up in the air and I think (producer Cameron) Macintosh is judging it from how ‘Les Mis’ will be perceived here in L.A. or in America. We'll see. We're hoping. It's a great role, that's my dream role,” she said.

Before flying out to Manila, she made a stop at Hollywood designer Oliver Tolentino's store where he will be designing a special performance outfit for Perez de Tagle.

‘Iba kasi ang damit pag nunood ka ng fashion show at nag-perform ka so there's a lot of things kailangan ma conceive kasi there will be a lot of movements at saka iba naman ang damit sa stage eh. It should shine, it should bling. So we're ready for that,” Tolentino said.

Tolentino himself will be joining Perez de Tagle in Manila as he watches her in concert.

However, her grandmother, the “Queen of Kundiman” Sylvia la Torre, will not join the trip.

After her month-long trip which will be business and pleasure, it's back to work for Perez de Tagle. The multi talented the 21-year-old said she has a few projects lined up when she gets returns to the US.
