MANILA, Philippines - Leisure airline Southeast Asian Airlines (SEAIR) announced it is reopening its flights to El Nido and Taytay in Palawan on December 1, 2010.

The flights to El Nido will be three times a week--Wednesday, Sunday, and Monday; while flights to Taytay will be daily.

Both El Nido and Taytay are havens for nature- and beach lovers.

El Nido is on the northernmost tip of Palawan and is a group of islands frequented by divers, snorkelers, beach- and island-hoppers. The area is home to over 30 dive sites, and more than 50 beaches and hidden lagoons. It is also known for its fauna and limestone cliffs carved from thick layers of coralline deposits. El Nido is part of the El Nido-Taytay Managed Resource Protected Area, the largest marine sanctuary in the Philippines.

Taytay, on the other hand, is home to migratory birds such as the Balinsasayaw or swiftlet, whose nests are edible. The island has a landscape composed of mountains, flatlands, and rolling hills.

A resort formerly called Club Noah Isabelle is located in Taytay. Now known as Apulit Island Resorts, it was recently acquired by Ten Knots Development Corporation, also the owner of El Nido Resorts.

Apulit Island Resorts, like its 2 sister resorts in El Nido, has a wealth of wildlife, colorful tropical fishes, and scenic landscapes. It has 50 fully equipped cottages perched above the sea giving guests an unobstructed view of Taytay Bay, surrounding islands, and the limestone cliffs.

SEAIR has been flying to key tourist destinations since 1995. It flies to Boracay, Basco (Batanes), Tablas (Romblon), Cebu, and Clark. It also offers the most routes to and from Caticlan with flights from Caticlan to Manila, Clark and Cebu.

Since it was established, the airline has flown almost 3 million passengers.
