First look: Kris Aquino's ombre Christmas tree
MANILA, Philippines – Actress-host Kris Aquino had "ombre" – a French word which means shaded or graduated in tone – as her inspiration for her Christmas tree this year.
Aquino has tapped the in-house artists of Flora Garden, an ornaments shop in Las Piñas, which she featured on her morning talk show “Kris TV” on Monday, to decorate her 10-foot-tall Christmas tree at home.
“Ombre o ang pag-iiba ng kulay mula sa light to dark ang naging peg ko,” the actress-host said in a voiceover as she showed viewers of “Kris TV” her newly decorated holiday tree.
“Personally, I wanted a big tree,” she added.
Aquino opted to fill her 10-foot-tall tree with matte Christmas balls in silver, gold, copper orange and deep magenta balls from top to bottom. Instead of a star or an angel, the Christmas tree is topped with sparkly heart-shaped ornaments with tassels for a feminine touch.
Meanwhile, the “Kris TV” host said she will also get a Christmas tree that will fit the tastes of her sons, Josh and Bimby.
