Former presidential candidate launches book
MANILA, Philippines - Former presidential candidate Nicanor "Nick" Perlas recently launched his latest book titled "Mission Possible! Sow Courage, Harvest a New World."
The book, which Perlas wrote in a month, is a tell-all story of an emerging movement called MISSION or the Movement of Imaginals for a Sustainable Society through Initiatives, Organizing and Networking.
It also aims to illustrate "how personal mastery can empower individuals to act from their highest potential and creativity when helping to rebuild societies."
Launched by Perlas last year, MISSION is engaged in poverty eradication, cultural work, socially responsible and green businesses, film, design, organic farming and youth empowerment, among others, according to the group's website.
It has members in Metro Manila, Cebu, Davao, Iloilo, Dumaguete, General Santos and Baguio, as well as in Germany.
Perlas is an author, Alternative Nobel Prize awardee, international lecturer, environmentalist and integral sustainable development expert.
