Rustan's Tadashi Shoji: Making a difference thru fashion
MANILA - A-list fashion designer Tadashi Shoji from the US graced Rustan's charity fashion show to unveil his new collection.
I dropped by the Rizal Ballroom of Shangri-La Hotel Makati to join the recent festivities and meet the red carpet fashion designer himself.
Tadashi Shoji is a Japanese-born American designer. He is known for red-carpet gowns and luxury dresses. His designs have won a loyal following with women worldwide, including a wide range of celebrities such as Oscar-winner Octavia Spencer, Kate Beckinsale, Oscar- winner Mo'Nique, Helen Mirren, Katy Perry, Forence Welch, and sexy vixen Dita Von Teese.

According to Shoji, the market in the Philippines is very bright and positive.
"I've been in the fashion industry for almost 30 years and I'm very grateful for the support from all our customers. Rustan's has been our partner in the Philippines for 15 years and we are very happy. It's great that the economy of the Philippines is growing fast. We expect positive growth in this market," said Shoji.

The show began with a number by the Philippine Ballet Theater as ballet dancers created the rich ambiance that made way for the unveiling of the fall-winter collection of Tadashi Shoji.
The Fall 2013 collection expressed nobility that was inspired by the splendor of the Russian Empire. Guests enjoyed seeing Tadashi's rich silks and cut velvets with soft silhouettes and traditional embroidered patterns.
