MANILA, Philippines - Twenty finalists have been chosen from nearly 100 photo entries submitted by Bayan Patrollers to the “iPhoto Mo Kapaligiran Mo” photo contest launched by Bayan Mo iPatrol Mo (BMPM), in cooperation with abs-cbnNEWS.com.

Most of the entries submitted were photographs of breathtaking views of the sunrise and sunset in various locations across the country.

One was of a full rainbow.

The beauty and the color of nature were highlighted in photos of flowers, trees and butterflies.

Some entries took on the task of tackling environmental issues such as waste disposal and water conservation.

The 20 photographs chosen as finalists will be exhibited on BMPM Day to be held at the Marikina Sports Complex on Friday, October 21.

An on-the-spot eco art contest will take place on BMPM Day.

Bands, celebrities, environment groups, non-government organizations and government agencies will all take part in the event, which carries the theme “Bayanihan Para sa Kalikasan.”
