During a recent press conference launching American reality TV stars Rob Kardashian and Kylie Jenner as endorsers of Human jeans, ABS-CBN News caught up with Dominique Cojuangco and Julia Barretto, who both confessed to being fans of "Keeping Up With the Kardashians."
Dominique is the only daughter of Kapamilya actress Gretchen Barretto with husband Antonio "Tonyboy" Cojuangco, Jr.
A Star Magic talent, Julia is the daughter of former actress Marjorie Barretto with former comedian Dennis Padilla.
Now on her second year in high school, Julia said she intends to follow in her mother and aunts' footsteps. Claudine Barretto, Gretchen's youngest sister, was among the most prized leading ladies of ABS-CBN in her heyday.
After getting her first taste of the limelight via her TV roles in "Kokey" (2007), "Walang Kapalit" (2007), and "Palos" (2008), Julia said she is set on pursuing showbiz full-time.
"I want to be in a drama series. That's something that I really want, and I'm looking forward to," she said.
"My parents are very supportive [of my dreams]. They support every decision I make and who I want to be, and I'm very thankful for that," Julia added.
Unlike her cousin, Dominique is more inclined to working behind the scenes.
Citing Alexander McQueen as among her inspirations, Dominique told ABS-CBN News of her plans to enter the world of fashion.
After she graduates from high school -- she is now on her senior year -- Dominique said she hopes to move to London to further her knowledge in fashion.
"I don't want to get into show business, but hopefully I become a fashion designer when I get older," said Dominique, whose mom Gretchen is hailed as among the most glamorous and well-dressed in local showbiz.
"Yes, completely," Dominique said when asked if her mother is likewise supportive of her aspirations. "I think my mom loves it because she immersed me into fashion my entire life." -- with a report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News
