Nueva Ecija Christmas decors selling like hot cakes in Bacolod
Businessmen from Nueva Ecija province are flocking to Bacolod City for the Christmas season not to give away gifts but to offer to Bacolenios their Christmas decorations.
Their Christmas decors, shaped like reindeers, snowman, Santa Clause, stars and flowers, are made of metals. They cover them with "roof lights" to attract passersby. The raw materials were shipped to the province from Nueva Ecija.
Businessman Roland Librador assured that these lights are safe even if the decors are placed outdoors because they are coated with plastic. The lights can stand the heat of the sun and even heavy rains, he added.
"They just have to make sure that the plugs don’t get wet", Librador said.
A simple lantern costs P200 while those with elaborate designs cost P700.
These traders have been bringing their business to various provinces like Quezon and Batangas.
They said this is the first time that they tapped the market of Bacolod City and they were overwhelmed by the response of Bacolenios.
Librador said his products have been selling like hot cakes in the province, noting the large number of orders from the locals.
Citing brisk business, he said he will definitely go back to the province next year.
