MANILA - Actor Jericho Rosales thinks Carmen Soo wasn't the reason for the breakup between Gab Valenciano and Rachelle Ann Go.

Rumors circulated that Soo was a "third party" in the relationship, something Soo had called "baseless."

Valenciano and Soo hang out together as friends, she said.

In an interview aired on “SNN: Showbiz News Ngayon”, Rosales said Valenciano had never said he had feelings for Soo, and assured that he would know if there is a brewing romance between his friends.

"I don't think they dated, okay, because I know them both. Si Gab sasabihin niya sa akin kung may feelings siya for anyone... Kasi dalawa kami na, 'Bro ang ganda ni ganito.' [Ako naman sasabihin ko,] 'Oo nga, bro ang ganda nito.' Ganoon kaming dalawa. Pero hanggang ganoon lang kami. Kilig-kilig lang kami," he said.

"If there’s anything like that (romantic interest in Soo), Gabriel would tell me," Rosales said.

Valenciano admitted in a previous interview that he hangs out with Soo, but just as friends.

Rosales played Soo's leading man on the ABS-CBN soap "Kahit Isang Saglit."

He is close to the Valenciano family since he is part of the entertainment firm Manila Genesis, run by talent manager Angeli Pangilinan-Valenciano.

The actor is busy taping for his television series "Dahil May Isang Ikaw" with co-star Kristine Hermosa.
