MANILA, Philippines - Ace comedian Vice Ganda admitted that he is a huge fan of fliptop, a rap battle often referred to as the "modern-day balagtasan."

He made the statement during the latest episode of his Sunday talk show "Gandang Gabi Vice", when fliptop rapper Raymond "Abra" Abracosa appeared as one of his guests.

Talagang pinag-uusapan," Vice Ganda said.

Vice Ganda noted that Abra's single "Gayuma", which has nearly nine million views on YouTube, is currently the No. 1 song on the cable music channel Myx.

To which the fliptop rapper replied: "Maraming salamat Vice sa pagsuporta sa Philippine hip hop industry."

After a quick banter, Vice Ganda and Abra gave viewers of "Gandang Gabi Vice" a sample of a fliptop battle.

"I love you, Abra.

But Abra had something else in mind.

Visibly excited, Vice Ganda replied: "Why not? Why not?

"Oo naman, promise," Abra said.
