MANILA, Philippines -- An overwhelming majority of Filipino men watch pornographic materials, according to a survey conducted by a local men's magazine.

Of the respondents in a poll by FHM Philippines, 94% admitted to watching porn "with no inhibitions whatsoever." The report on the survey results, published Wednesday on the magazine's official website, did not detail the actual number of participants in the poll.

The demographics of the respondents were also not disclosed.

Dubbed the "Yearend Sex Survey," the poll delves into men's preferred alternative to intercourse in the absence of a sexual partner. It also looks into the preferences of men within these given alternatives, such as watching porn, and availing of "extra service."

According to the survey results, 4% of Pinoys have stopped watching pornographic materials, 1% are still considering it, while 1% said they do not watch porn at all.

Of the 94% who admitted to engaging in the activity, 59% prefer watching pornographic videos that show heterosexual sex. Sixteen percent like seeing threesomes in porn; 6%, "gangbangs" or one female with multiple male partners; 9%, female-on-female; and 6%, interracial sex.

Outdoor sex, one-night stands

While most of the participants watch porn, a good 36% of the total respondents said they still regularly engage in sex. Thirty percent claim the same case to happen on a daily basis. "It humbles down to 27% who claim doing it every once in a while, with 24% experiencing otherwise," the report said.

Of the total participants, 9% said they have yet to engage in sex, and turn to pornography for sexual satisfaction.

When given options on their preferred kind of sexual intercourse to be engaged in, majority of the respondents (56%) pointed to "normal, heterosexual sex."

One-night stands ranked second as the preferred kind of sex, with 27% of participants favoring it; outdoor sex, 10%; threesomes, 5%; and "S&M" or sadomasochism, 1%.

'Extra service'

"Extra service" was a topic also touched on by the survey. The term usually refers to for-pay services that may range from physical intimacy to actual sexual intercourse.

According to the poll results, 27% said they have tried some form of "extra service." Eight percent of these respondents, however, said they do not plan to engage in any more "extra service."

Thirty-nine percent of Filipino men, according to the survey, claim to have not tried any kind of "extra service." Twenty-six percent of them, however, said they intend to do so.

Asked on their preferred location for engaging in sexual activities from "extra service," 33% of the respondents cite motels; 17%, at home; 29%, "extra service joints"; 14%, preferred beer house or bar; and 7%, via online means.

For the participants in the survey who have tried "extra service joints," the reaction to the experience are mixed.

Despite the flirting and physical intimacy, the service "still feels like it's all business" for 39%. "Some, however, are saying it will do (23%), it’s actually sexy (22%), it’s a fantasy-come-true (9%), and it’s too sleazy (6%)," the report said.
