'Banana Nite' girls go topless for FHM
MANILA -- Three of the female cast members of the gag show "Banana Nite" appear on the cover of men's magazine FHM for its January 2014 issue.
The cover was unveiled by the publication Thursday on its Facebook page, showing Sunshine Garcia, Aiko Climaco, and Jef Gaitan posing in matching white bikini bottoms and knee-high blue socks.
Garcia and Gaitan appear topless, while Climaco, who is holding up a camera for a "selfie," is wearing a midriff-baring tank top.
Each of the girls also has her own themed solo cover.
Gaitan, who has appeared several times in the pages of FHM, said one of her "Banana Nite" co-stars had to be convinced to do the daring cover.
"Aiko really wanted to do the cover. Sunshine, on the other hand, was a bit more hesitant. Siya 'yung maraming rules," Gaitan was quoted as saying by the magazine on its official website.
"Ayaw niya ng mga thong, underboobs, mga ganyan. Ako naman 'yung parang promotor, na tipong, 'Go na 'yan!' Pagdating namin dito, wala, all out na lahat. I swear!"
As of writing, the Facebook post announcing the FHM covers already had over 12,000 likes, 370 shares and some 400 comments.
"Banana Nite" airs weeknights on ABS-CBN after "Bandila." The late-night gag show also has a weekend edition, "Banana Split: Extra Scoop," that airs on Saturdays.
