Gourmet food and more at Gina Lopez' first store
MANILA – The first-ever store of ABS-CBN Foundation managing director Gina Lopez sells environment-friendly and health-oriented products that bring benefits to local communities.
Located at the third floor of Power Plant Mall in Makati City, G Stuff offers a variety of personal care items made with all-natural ingredients, as well as gourmet food items that can be enjoyed at home or given as gifts.
The recipes of some of the gourmet food items on sale were contributed by top local chefs such as Sandy Daza (gourmet tuyo), Gilbert Pangilinan of Kai (wafu salad dressing and Davao goat cheese dip), Glenda Barretto (coconut jam) and Myrna Segismundo (carabao cheese and pepper dip and cherry tomato marmalade).
“The store is committed to health. No white sugar, no white flour, no chemicals, no preservatives. So everything’s really healthy,” Lopez said during the “Kris TV” feature on G Stuff aired Thursday.
The letter "G" in G Stuff stands for many things, shared Lopez. It can mean “Gina,” since she personally uses a number of products sold here; or it can stand for “green,” “good for community” or “good for you.”
Lopez, who used to be a missionary, said she hopes to make a difference in local communities through her first retail venture.
“I lived in the slums of Africa,” she said, recalling her simple life. “I like making a difference.”
