MANILA -- Global tech giant Lenovo recently tapped DJ and television host KC Montero as its brand influencer to promote their latest mobiles phones and enhance its market position among the youth.
“Of course, I am super happy when Lenovo selected me. The beauty of this partnership is that Lenovo is giving me the free hand to do all the things I want to do,” Montero said.
Montero will lead in promoting the Vibe Z, Lenovo’s latest mobile phone in the market and its first long-term evolution (LTE) model with extra fast uploads of megabits per second and downloading of up to 150 megabits per second. The Vibe Z operates on global system for mobile communication/universal mobile telephony system (GSM/UTMS) up to 2100 and also comes up with 802.11 wireless fidelity (WIFI) and Bluetooth.
Moreover, the Vibe Z has a Qualcomm Snapdragon 800 Quad Core 2.2 gigahertz (GHZ) processor to deliver powerful performance for watching movies, capturing and editing photos, multitasking among apps, playing games and video chatting.
Meanwhile, the Vibe X has a 5-inch display has a 1920 x 1080 resolution with a 440 pixels per inch (ppi). The internal parts are also designed to perform. It has a 2000mAh battery and a quad-core 1.5GHz MTK processor with 2 gigabit of random access memory ( RAM) It runs on Android 4.2 and comes with 16GB of internal storage.
Aside from developing videos and photobombs, Montero will also promote the brand through the production of short videos using the Vibe Z and Vibe X.
Montero said the partnership with Lenovo will also be a good opportunity for him to broaden his horizons in his art. “This would push my creativity as an artist as Lenovo has given me the free hand to do the things I want to pursue,” he said.
The Vibe X and Vibe Z are ideal tools for social media activities because of the phones' specifications, Montero explained.
Meanwhile, John Rojo, business unit head of Open Communication, said the launch of the Vibe Z indicates the strong performance of the brand in the Philippine market.
Lenovo initially made a mark in the entry level market with the A-series. It was followed by the success of the Kobe Bryant-endorsed K-25.
“For this year, our focus is to have a strong presence in the broad segment,” said Rojo.
“Lenovo will give the customers a value for their money by emphasizing on the software and the screen size,” he added
