The local church of Ozamiz has defended Archbishop Jesus Dosado for supposedly receiving a Mitsubishi Pajero from the PCSO. In a report from the CBCP News, Immaculate Conception Cathedral Parish Rev. Fr. Marvin Osmena said Dosado is not one of the recipients earlier mentioned by the PCSO.

Director Joey Reyes has openly declared his support for the divorce bill. Reyes said he is pro-divorce "mainly because I believe that Filipinos should be given a chance to mature." Reyes also explained that it would be better for some couples to be apart than stay in an imperfect and chaotic marriage.
