Military holds, frees 50 journalists

At least 50 Filipino journalists, who were scheduled to visit an evacuation center in Maguindanao province, were held for an hour at a military security checkpoint in Guidulungan town on Tuesday morning.

Lt. Col. Romeo Brawner Jr., military spokesman, denied that the journalists were being harassed. He said the military just wanted to make sure that the "route to the destination of these journalists was clear."
