Dr. Jose Rizal statue to rise in Carson City

A bronze statue of Philippine national hero Dr. Jose Rizal will rise in Carson City. It will stand nearly 7 feet on top of a 6-foot tall granite base helped funded by the Jose P. Rizal Monument Movement. It is the first statue in the International Sculpture Garden, which broke ground last November.
