MANILA, Philippines - Government prosecutors were set to present on Wednesday a videographer from the Philippine Army as its third witness in the massacre of 57 people in Ampatuan, Maguindanao last November 23.

Datu Unsay Mayor Andal Ampatuan Jr., the prime suspect in the massacre, arrived at the Philippine National Police's headquarters in Camp Crame past 6 a.m. for the resumption of the hearing.

Judge Jocelyn Solis-Reyes of the Quezon City Regional Trial Court arrived at the venue of the hearing at the Non-Commissioned Officers' Club in Camp Crame before the scheduled start of the hearing at 8:30 a.m..

Government prosecutor Leo Dacera earlier said the videographer was the first to respond and take footage of the crime scene in Barangay Salman, Ampatuan town.

Judge Reyes was also scheduled to tackle the petition for bail of Ampatuan Jr., who has repeatedly denied his involvement in the massacre.

The government prosecutors have already presented 2 witnesses, including National Bureau of Investigation (NBI) official Ric Diaz and Ampatuan town Vice Mayor Rasul Sangki, who is a relative of the Ampatuans.

Sangki had told the court that it was former Maguindanao governor Andal Ampatuan Sr. who gave the go signal to massacre the members of the rival Mangudadatu clan, including the wife and 2 sisters of Buluan Vice-Mayor Esmael Mangudadatu, who is now running for provincial governor.

Mangudadatu believes that Sangki's testimony would be enough for the court to deny the bail petition of Ampatuan Jr.
