PNoy open to anti-dynasty law but not a priority
MANILA -- President Benigno Aquino III expressed openness to the passage of a law banning political dynasties but said that it is not a priority for now.
Speaking to reporters, Aquino, a member of a political dynasty himself, said he would prefer to first read the contents of the bill.
"Well, gusto kong mabasa sana ng kabuuan 'yan. Marami tayong pinagkakaabalahan sa kasalukuyan both in the domestic and in the international scene," he said.
Meanwhile, Aquino said a bill reforming the pension system for the military and police is among his priority legislation.
