MANILA, Philippines - Deputy presidential spokesman Abigail Valte on Tuesday said the Office of the Executive Secretary will be "wrapping up" this week its investigation on Presidential Political Adviser Ronald Llamas who was caught buying pirated DVDs at a Quezon City mall.
 
Valte echoed an earlier statement that Llamas "is not untouchable."

"Hindi po siya untouchable. Nobody is indispensable in this administration. Kahit po ako, kahit po si Secretary Lacierda, kahit po 'yung mga kasamahan ho natin, pwede hong bukas, wala na ho kami dito. Alam po naming lahat 'yan," she said.

She said in a text message that "details of the investigation can be revealed once a decision has been made, owing to the confidentiality of the proceedings."

Llamas earlier said he has formally apologized to the President for any embarrassment that the incident may have caused the administration.
 
Quoting the Optical Media Board (OMB), Llamas’ office said Llamas did not violate any law in buying pirated DVDs.

Llamas has already filed his answer to the memo issued by Executive Secretary Paquito Ochoa Jr. asking him to explain why no administrative disciplinary proceedings should not be initiated against him.

Llamas said he opted not to publicly speak on the matter to give way to the Palace investigation.

“It was the most prudent thing to do in light of the inquiry that the executive secretary has launched," he said.
