Priest wants motel billboard dismantled
MANILA - A priest condemned what he called an “immoral” billboard prominently displayed at a motel in Pasay.
In an interview with Radio Veritas, San Juan Nepomuceno de Malibay parish priest Tony Navarete asked the Metropolitan Manila Development Authority (MMDA) to bring down the billboard prominently displayed at the Victoria Court.
The billboard shows two teenagers watching a movie. Across it are the words: “After the movie, what next?” The reservation numbers of the motel are also on the billboard.
“Ang billboard, it’s inviting people to commit something bad or immoral,” he said.
Meanwhile, MMDA Chairman Francis Tolentino said they will look into the issue.
In another interview, Tolentino also told Radio Veritas he is not in favor of placing such kinds of advertisements in public places.
Nonetheless, he said he will also wait for the formal complaint from Navarete.
