Vivian Yuchengco: I don't know Grace Ibuna
MANILA, Philippines - Businesswoman Vivian Yuchengco denied Tuesday any involvement in the battle for the remains of the late Rep. Ignacio Arroyo.
Lawyer Lorna Kapunan, counsel of Arroyo's estranged wife Aleli, made the claim off-air that Yuchengco is helping Iggy's partner, Grace Ibuna, keep the late congressman's remains.
Asked about the claim, Yuchengco said: "I don't know Grace Ibuna and I have no contact with her."
Aleli and Ibuna have been fighting over who has the rights to the late congressman's body after his death last week. Mrs. Arroyo flew to London last week to claim the body but was barred by Ibuna.
Yuchengco, meanwhile, called on both Grace and Aleli to spare other people from their battle.
"Please tell them not to drag people in their cat fight," she said.
She added: "I only pray Iggy will finally rest in peace. I pray for that. Thank you for taking my side."
