Palace woos Iglesia ni Cristo support for Gibo
MANILA, Philippines - A Malacañang official on Wednesday said he is hoping that administration party Lakas-Kampi CMD will get the support of the powerful Iglesia ni Cristo (INC) sect in the coming May elections.
Executive Secretary Eduardo Ermita said the Palace is counting on the powerful religious sect to bring in the votes for Lakas-Kampi standard bearer Gilbert Teodoro and other administration in this year's polls.
"In elections, one needs the support of big groups like the INC. It is significant that we get support of these groups. I hope we get it. INC is very supportive of the Arroyo administration," Ermita said in a press statement on the website of the Office of the Press Secretary.
The Iglesia ni Cristo is the only religious group in the country that practices bloc voting, with previous surveys showing that an INC endorsement could bring an additional 1.5 million to 2 million votes to a national candidate.
The INC previously endorsed the candidacies of Joseph Estrada and Gloria Arroyo in the 1998 and 2004 presidential elections.
In 2007, it endorsed 12 senatorial candidates including Team Unity’s Michael Defensor, Ralph Recto, Joker Arroyo, Vicente Sotto III, Juan Miguel Zubiri and Edgardo Angara; Genuine Opposition’s Francis Escudero, Loren Legarda, Panfilo Lacson, Manuel Villar and Benigno Aquino III; and independent Francis Pangilinan. Of the 12 candidates, 9 were elected.
Two of those endorsed by the INC in 2007, Villar and Aquino, are running for president in the May 10, 2010 elections.

Napakabobo naman ng isang botante kong maniniwala na secret candidate ni GMA si Villar, kong may paniwala kayo sa inyong sarili wag kayong makikinig sa mga block propaganda ng ibang mga politiko.
Mga taktika yan ng kampo ni Nonoy para gamitin si GMA laban kay Villar.Puro salitang PAGBABAGO ang nasa mukhang bibig ng mga taong ito, bakit hindi sila mangumpanya sa positibong paraan at hindi paninira sa ibang kandidato.Ibig sabihin lamang na duda sila sa kanilang partido na manalo sa darating na halalan.
Baguhin niyo na ang inyong mga ugaling TRAPO.Panloloko lang sa mga taong bayan ang mga pinag gagawa niyo.

This is the scenario in our country right now:
Mrs. Arroyo supported two presidentiable candidates. One is Gibo and the other is her secret candidate who is Money Villar. She did this for many reasons.
1. Whoever will win is the one to protect her from plunder and other cases (we all know about that)…
2. Mrs. Arroyo will become a house speaker in congress.
3. Once she will become a speaker then it will be easy for her to pass CHA-CHA.
4. Once there is CHA-CHA then she will become a PRIME MINESTER.
5. Mrs. Arroyo will be our PRIME MINESTER while Mr. Money Villar is our PRESIDENT.
Question:
1. Do you think it is a good tandem?
2. If Money Villar will win, do you think our country will progress?
3. Do we still have HOPE for CHANGE?
4. Where is HOPE?
5. Where is JUSTICE?
This is my great concern. I am not campaigning for any candidates; I am campaigning for my future and the future of my children. LET US THINK AND CONSIDER THE NEXT GENERATION, WHAT WILL BE THERE FUTURE? Let’s stop pointing fingers and throwing shits to each other. Why can’t we suggest for the better and share ideas and information so we can learn and help us decide…

Now its clear. Gibo's game plan is to get huge block voters such as the INC. Hopefully this religious group will vote based on individual assessment of the candidates.
