PGMA, 'Manay Gina' patch things up
Palace says they can help each other in Congress
MANILA, Philippines (1st UPDATE) - Ma. Georgina 'Manay Gina' de Venecia, wife of former Speaker Jose de Venecia Jr. (JDV), disclosed that she and President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo have already reconciled.
In an interview with ABS-CBN News, Mrs. de Venecia said the reconciliation with President Arroyo happened almost 2 months ago.
"Nag-usap na kami, okay na kami. Kasi mabuti na 'yon wala nang mga hinanakit, nailabas na. (This happened) Mga two months ago. Okay na kami, nagka-intindihan na kami," she said.
The De Venecias broke ties with President Arroyo after the former Speaker's son, Joey de Venecia, accused First Gentleman Jose 'Mike' Miguel Arroyo of pushing for the allegedly anomalous National Broadband Network (NBN) telecommunications deal with Chinese firm, ZTE Corp., in 2007.
Asked who made the first move, Mrs. De Venecia replied: "Pareho lang, pareho lang. Kasi ninang ako ng dalawang anak niya at ninang din sya ng anak ko. So mabuting mag-usap kami kasi may pinag-samahan din kaming dalawa."
"Matatanda na din kami, we have to bury the hatchet and we have to move on," she added.
Mrs. De Venecia, who hopes to succeed her husband as representative of the 4th district of Pangasinan, is running under the Nationalist People's Coalition (NPC). Her husband is on his third and last term.

Mrs. De Venecia said she is ready to work with President Arroyo, who is also running for Congress in the second district of Pampanga.
"Oo naman, kumare ko 'yon. We are going to be colleagues if I win sa Kongreso, yes. Okay lang," she said, when asked about the possibility of both of them winning in the May 10 congressional race.
Mrs. De Venecia said she and the President are now "looking forward to new beginnings."

Asked for comment, Press Secretary Jun Icban said: "Reconciliation is good. They will not help each other in the elections because their are running in two different parts. Maybe they could help each other in Congress na."
Joey de Venecia is running for a seat in the Senate under former President Joseph Estrada's Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP). His father had earlier patched things up with Estrada despite the fact that the De Venecias helped oust Estrada from Malacañang in 2001.
The Arroyos and the De Venecias had close political ties until the NBN-ZTE scandal erupted. De Venecia was subsequently ousted as Speaker of the House of Representatives.
De Venecia ran for president in 1998 with Mrs. Arroyo as his running mate. He lost to Estrada, but Mrs. Arroyo won as vice-president. De Venecia reclaimed his seat as Speaker of the House of Representatives in 2001. -- With a report from Mario Dumaual, ABS-CBN News

Kaya lang naman kumontra itong mga De Venecia sa gobyernong Arroyo kasi hindi napagbigyan sa gusto nila. Kumbaga naiwan sila sa partehan ng poder at impluwensiya ika nga. Ginamit at pinasakay pa ang taumbayan sa pagpapaawa effect. Pero walang impact at di kinagat ng masa kasi walang kredibilidad at halatang plastik. Basta magkakaparehong masasamong damo sa bandang huli ay magsasama sama pa rin. Mas mabuti pa para hindi kayo maloko huwag niyong iboboto ang dalawang ito.

Ano! whistle-blower Joey de Venecia is running for a seat in the Senate under former President Joseph Estrada's Pwersa ng Masang Pilipino (PMP). Paano mo iboboto ang taong sumubok kumuha ng malaking contract sa Gov't kahit alam nyang bawal (baka makalusot). Sa palagay nya siguro, kapag Senador na sya, mananalo na ang company nya sa bidding like the other Senators do.
Vera Perez and De Venecia Genes and Blood
The genes and blood of both Mrs. Georgina Vera Perez De Venecia and former Speaker Jose De Venecia Jr. are running in the human body system of Joey De Venecia III, so it is but normal and certain that this "BACKOFF" whistle-blower is going patch up things with the First Ungentleman Mike Arroyo after settling their shares of the NBN-ZTE deal.

Hungry For Blood
If anybody would notice most of the posts for this news item, it is very clear, they are all hungry for blood. For whatever reason, reconciliation and diplomacy is always a step to peace and more civilized society. The problem with the Pinoy nation in the present time, it is so much polarized by political hatred, vengeance and envy that they are ready to act like hyenas, ready to eat anything that moves. And who are advocating this kind of attitude, the supposed great leaders themselves running for office for this coming election. So what to expect if they win? The Philippines would be a healthy breeding ground for hyenas, dog eats dog mentality. This is the result of the "mob rule" mentality developed and proved successful during the 1st Edsa revolt, admit it or not, one ugly by product of that act. What the moral preachers and scholars (church)are doing about it, "NADA" as in nothing. Some of them are actually joining the packs, look at Panlilio, Cruz, atbp. If I'm an ordinary Pinoy, why not, just join the game!
