MANILA, Philippines - The camp of Rep. Gloria Arroyo is asking the Sandiganbayan if she can be allowed to post bail for the graft case filed against her in regard to the NBN-ZTE scam while she is detained at the Veteran's Memorial Hospital.

Usual procedures for posting bail involves the accused personally appearing before the court. "But since she is detained for another offense as you know, we're asking the court to allow her to accomplish her bail applications where she's detained," said Atty. Lawrence Arroyo.

The prosecution has five days to respond to the former president's request before the court decides on the matter.
