Palace creates inter-agency Task Force Legacy

The Arroyo administration has created an inter-agency task force for the probe into the bankrupt Legacy Group of financial services firms, executive secretary Eduardo Ermita told reporters Wednesday.
He said Administrative Order 258 created the task force, which will be composed to the following agencies:
- Presidential Anti-graft Commission
- Securities and Exchange Commission
- Bureau of Internal Revenue
- Housing and Land Use Regulatory board
- Justice Department
- Labor Department
The task force will investigate Legacy's fraudulent schemes. Ermita said the body was given six months to finish its investigation, and the results will be forwarded to the Monetary Board, various church groups, and the media.
