PNoy, Lacson finally meet
MANILA, Philippines - President Benigno “Noynoy” Aquino III and Senator Panfilo Lacson finally met on Tuesday.
“He came to my office and we got to talk there,” Aquino told reporters at the load-out ceremony of the British Petroleum Whiting Refinery Modernization Project at the AG&P Batangas Heavy Fabrication Yard in Bauan, Batangas.
“Talagang touch base basically, ano bang nangyayari dito in his absence, ano ba ang plano niya sa Senado,” Aquino said.
He also asked Lacson if he was abiding by his promise not to touch his pork barrel.
“Noong araw, nag-rerefuse siya sa tinatawag na [Priority Development Assistance Fund]. Tinanong ko yung PDAF, ‘Mas matino na ang paggastos ngayon, interesado ka ba sa entitlement?’ Sagot niya, i-me-maintain daw niya ang stand niya na hindi niya tatanggapin,” Aquino said.
Aquino said it is not his priority to know the identities of Lacson’s coddlers when he was still hiding from authorities.
“That assumes that somebody was protecting him. Is it essential? That should be looked into also, but at the same time, as I have told you before…my first priority has to be the violent crimes, those that impact with violence on the citizenry, to include yung drugs, has to be the first priority that we address,” Aquino said.
He stressed, however, he would not be stopping Justice Secretary Leila de Lima from investigating the case, which she earlier promised.
Lacson earlier questioned the tag that he was an ally of the current administration.
He said the political persecution continued even after the administration of President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo.
“I can tell you that the administration is sincere when it comes to the fight against corruption. I am only an ally in terms of that advocacy,” he said.
As to the question of being a political ally, Lacson said “I’ve only read that in the papers.”
He also stressed his name is not a “shoo-in” for senators who would vote for the conviction of Ombudsman Merceditas Gutierrez. ]
Some quarters are saying the administration has been lax on him in order that he would add to the two-thirds vote needed to oust Gutierrez as Ombudsman. -- with a report from Willard Cheng, ABS-CBN News

Lacson' s Background
If Lacson is only working for a private company, he would have been fired for not being available in doing the job he is paid for. Unfortunately for the Filipino taxpayers, he is getting paid while on the lam, while not doing his work, while creating a mess in the Senate, while just being a real asshole in totally disregarding the law.
I only hope the Filipino people remembers this in the next election. No more of politicians like Lacson in the elected office. Lacson was elected to govern, help enact and enforce the laws, help revise laws that needs updating, and respect the people and the nation.
What Lacson did while on the lam was a statement that he does not care about the people he represents, he doesn't care about the Senate, he doesn't care about civility in any of his elected functions, ....and more negative traits a citizen would not expect from a Senator. What a big mistake people have made in electing this guy to the Senate.

Tinanong ba ni Pinoy kung bakit hindi lumabas at hinarap ni Ping ang kaso niya nong valid pa yong warrant of arrest. Pinoy stay away from this butcher. Have the case reinvistigated. You will go down with this guy, he should never be allowed to run for an office in the future.

lacson is no hero. and it is because of that that gloria and her gang are dead scared of him that they have to attempt to kill him politically throughout all the nine long years that they were in power. unfortunately, they came short. they significantly damaged lacson to the point that his presidential ambition may already be dead, but he manages to survive with enough political clout and his political network intact and support base solidified.
that may not be entirely bad for the aquino administration. lacson's genius is evident in the previous administration for simply surviving it. both the aquino administration and lacson may gain politically if they use their political parallelisms and put it into progressive action for the nation.

I think ping lacson is patron, protector, symphatizer of forgers that make false documents, passporst, licenses, certificates, etc. ping will not tell who these forgers are because he is loyal to them.
as ex-policeman, ping lacson know most forgers, where they are and what their modus opernadi are, but ping will not squeal on them. crime lords will have easy and ready get-away, out of our country, if ever they need to.
as long as ping keeps quiet, these forgers will continue to operate. crime lords use the same route that ping lacson had used.
