Book club to host talk on Vitug's 'Shadow of Doubt'
MANILA, Philippines - The National Book Development Board (NBDB) Book Club will be hosting on April 16 a discussion of Marites Vitug’s "Shadow of Doubt: Probing the Supreme Court," the much-talked about book about the inner workings of the Supreme Court.
Released just recently, the book aims to shed light on the country’s judiciary process and probes the alleged manipulations by some members of the magistrates in the decision-making of the Supreme Court.
Joining the discussion as panelists/reactors are: Atty. Victor Avecilla, professor of Law and Mass Media at the UP College of Mass Communication; Anvil Publishing’s Karina Bolasco; and, journalist/editor Pete Lacaba.
