PNoy fumes at feuding execs: Ano ba kayo, mga bata?
MANILA - President Aquino fumed at feuding officials of the Philippine Public Safety College and the Philippine National Police Academy, saying they should stop fighting.
"Ano ba kayo, mga bata?" he said.
Aquino said he has ordered an investigation on an alleged rift between the PPSC and PNPA officials, the results of which should be out soon.
"Can I take this opportunity na paalala sa lahat ng involved dito, isa lang ang mission ninyo: Ipinaalaga sa inyo ang mga kadete. Ihulma ninyo ng tama. Kailangan mamuno kayo by example," he said.
Philippine Public Safety College president Atty. Ruben Platon was
reportedly surprised when he was not listed as the one who would confer the degree of bachelor of science in public safety on the PNPA graduates as was usual practice.
Instead, Philippine National Police Academy director Chief Supt. Noel Constantino conferred the degree.
Platon reportedly issued a memorandum dated March 26 reminding the PNPA director that disregarding the authority of the PPSC head to confer and sign the diplomas of the graduating cadets is both a violation and prejudicial to the graduating cadets.
The PNPA is one of the training schools under the PPSC.
Meanwhile, Aquino also pointed out possible instances of mismanagement during the PNPA graduation yesterday. He said the graduates marched in very tight pants while only the front flank had rifles.
He also pointed out that the bass drum didn't sound well.
"Matagal nang may bangayan dito na hindi ko ikinatutuwa. Ang pakay nitong dalawa ay siguraduhin ang output ng PNPA ay pinakamagaling na mahuhulma natin. Hindi iyong uubusin ninyo ang oras ninyo sa bangayan. Dapat nagtulungan sila na iwasto ang mga problema na ito, di ba. So fina-follow up ko nga 'yung...Nag-order ako ng investigation medyo matagal-tagal na tungkol dito," he added.
