CJ defense takes Holy Week break
MANILA, Philippines - Members of Chief Justice Renato Corona's defense team will be taking a break from the impeachment trial as they spend time with their families this Holy Week.
Lawyer Ramon Esguerra said each member of the Corona team has his or her own plan for the Holy Week break.
"Some went abroad. Others are here. In my case, I am staying in Manila with my family. We'll do observance of rituals together like the stations of the cross, church visits, masses," he said in a text message to ABS-CBNnews.com.
"We'll observe fasting and abstinence. I've been to several retreats and recollection," he added.
He also said that the Chief Justice will be staying in Manila.
Atty. Tranquil Salvador III also confirmed that he is on vacation with his family.
Corona's impeachment trial was temporarily suspended after the Senate adjourned its session to give way for their Lenten break. The trial
