Some Filipino travelers scheduled to fly to Bangkok, Thailand in the next few days have opted to rebook or cancel their flights to avoid being caught in the current political conflict in the area, a Philippine Airlines (PAL) official said Tuesday.

PAL reservations supervisor Violeto Barbon said most of the passengers who have opted to cancel or rebook their flights were scheduled to leave for Bangkok from April 14 to 17.

PAL management said flights to and from Bangkok will operate as scheduled despite the ongoing political tension in Thailand. PAL is allowing passengers travelling to and from Bangkok to change their flight schedules free of charge.
