ABS-CBN broadcaster Ted Failon on Sunday announced that only relatives and close friends would be allowed to view the remains of his wife, Trinidad “Trina” Etong, at Arlington Memorial Chapels in Quezon City.

Failon’s announcement came after the Arlington management reportedly prohibited the public viewing of Trina’s remains.

Reports said the Arlington management cited the small space of its chapels that cannot accommodate a huge number of people. Arlington was also worried that the crowd might disturb other families in its chapels, reports added.

Failon has apologized to the public who are planning to come to the wake of his wife, whose body will be cremated on Wednesday at 11 a.m.

Trina died of a gunshot wound in her head last week in Quezon City. Her family and friends said she had committed suicide because of financial woes but  police are not yet abandoning the possibility of foul play in the incident. Reports from Jon Ibañez, radio dzMM, and Zyann Ambrosio, ABS-CBN News
