MANILA - Senator Jinggoy Estrada on Tuesday denied anew that he benefited from the pork barrel scam.

In his speech at the graduation ceremony of Pamantasan ng Lungsod ng Maynila (PLM) students, Estrada said the Senate Blue Ribbon Committee that looked into the scam unfairly prejudged him and fellow Senators Juan Ponce Enrile and Ramon "Bong" Revilla Jr.

“Graduating class, I deny all allegations against me. I repeat: I have no knowledge or participation in the transfer of funds to anyone other than the legally intended beneficiaries. I never received amounts from Napoles, Tuason or those associated with her or her NGOs. I did not steal a single cent from PDAF or conspire to enrich myself using public funds," he said.

He also claimed that the pork barrel allegations are part of a smear campaign to tarnish the reputation of candidates who want to seek public office anew in the 2016 elections.

“Is this selective justice? When you focus on destroying potential viable candidates this coming election, your guess is as good as mine,” he said.

He also said he will not resign.

“I am confident that in due time, the charges will be dismissed. In the meantime, I pray for the wheels of justice to take its due and legal course.”

The senator on Monday night returned to the country from a trip to the United States.

Estrada said his return proves he has no intention of hiding despite being indicted for plunder.

Estrada also believes that Enrile's former aide, lawyer Gigi Reyes, won't turn against them.
