MANILA, Philippines - Relatives of the Morong 43 expressed outrage and dismay after the military and the police again failed to transfer 38 of the detained health workers from Tanay, Rizal to Camp Crame in Quezon City despite an order from the court.

Atty. Rachel Pastores, legal counsel for the detainees, said they are now contemplating contempt charges against police and military officers.

More than two weeks ago, the Quezon City Regional Trial Court ordered the transfer of the detainees to Camp Crame.

The military brought the detainees to the Camp on April 9, but returned them to Tanay saying the Philippine National Police could not accomodate them because their custodial center was already full.

Some of the detainees and their relatives went on a fast saying their protest will continue until the detainees are transferred to Crame.

Pastores said the military refused to bring the detainees to Crame on Saturday because they have already filed a motion seeking to block the transfer. -- report from ANC
