Miriam expects to be linked to pork barrel 'scam'

MANILA - Senator Miriam Santiago believes it is her archenemy Senator Juan Ponce Enrile who is behind efforts to implicate her in the pork barrel scam.
She believes that Enrile will do everything to avoid spending time in jail by implicating all his political enemies to muddle the issue.
Santiago said she has a source who told her that implicating her is a part of a plan to divert public attention away from those being charged for plunder.
“If you are a 90-year-old sex addict... all those years without sex? It’s a fate worse than death. That’s why he’s going to throw everything, including the kitchen sink and his drones into this battle,” Santiago said of Enrile.
Santiago denied channeling funds to Napoles-linked NGOs, telling Enrile, “I am honored to be included in his roll of victims because it indicates that he is feeling my barbs. Akala ko nakalimutan mo na ako. Salamat at naalala mo pa pala ako.”
She said that Napoles is no longer a credible witness, citing her previous ties to Enrile and the absence of evidence to support the supposed list of corrupt lawmakers.
She urged Justice Secretary Leila de Lima to release the list.
