Villar targets block votes to finish No. 1
MANILA, Philippines—The camp of presidential candidate Manuel Villar Jr. on Monday said it would secure block votes to win the presidential race in May.
Senator Alan Peter Cayetano, one of the spokesmen of Nacionalista Party (NP), made the announcement in a press conference, on the same day that the Social Weather Stations (SWS) released its latest survey showing Villar still second to Liberal Party's Benigno Aquino III, but with a widened lead.
The survey, conducted in April 16-19, has Aquino with 38%, leading Villar by 12 points. In the vice presidential survey, PDP-Laban's Jejomar Binay had overtaken Villar's running mate, Loren Legarda, for the second spot.
Cayetano said there are local and national organizations that practice block voting and had announced support for Villar, while there are those who have yet to decide which candidate to endorse.
Without identifying these groups, Cayetano said these are non-government, religious, and political groups that, according to NP’s political analysts, constitute 7% to 8% of the votes.
He said the “superior” party machinery consisting of 2% to 3%, plus the 7% to 8% block votes from groups that might support Villar, would already cover 9% to 11% of the votes.
The party’s machinery includes party members and areal and sectoral organizations nationwide that Villar organized in the last 3 years, he said.
“We would be happier if there’s a smaller lead, but our political analysts, who going around the country checking the ground force, are very confident that the 12% or 13% lead in the survey would mean a tie for Senator Villar,” he said, adding that a below-15% lead means a good fight for their standard bearer.
The NP is still hopeful of the 6% undecided votes. Cayetano said Villar has more advantage to get the undecided votes than Aquino.
“There are voters who, at first, prefer Noynoy. But when they think of whom they can depend on in times of crisis, they would not choose someone who only rely on his family’s name, but someone who has the experience and track record,” Cayetano said.
He said that, in the next weeks, their party would focus on their messaging in the media, and strengthening geographic and sectoral organizations that will deliver bigger votes.
“For us, the 8% to 12% means that it would be a ground battle,” added Cayetano.
He said that they would concentrate on their platforms and political ads. (abs-cbnNews.com/Newsbreak)

I don't think so..
I know that the only way Villar could win this election is to fire this 3 stoogies Cayetano, Tamano, and most specially Remulla.
They are good lawyers but are awfully bad campaign strategists. Villar, hinuhuthutan ka lang ng pera ng mga yan. When you lose, make no mistake about it, they will forget you.
Villar.. can't you see it in their faces, they do not have that same conviction in them when they are campaigning you the way they are campaigning for their own ASSes. Fire them, they made you look bad and giving you falls hope that you will win.

YOU DO NOT WANT THE PUBLIC TO KNOW ABOUT THE ANOMALY (STOCK MANIPULATION, LAND GRABBING, LYING IN PUBLIC, BRINGING THE DEAD BACK, USING THE AGING MOTHER, USING INNOCENT KIDS, DISHONESTY, CORRUPTION, BRIBERY.. AND ON AND ON ABOUT YOUR CANDIDATES AND HIS PARTIES THAT THESE TV, NEWSPAPERS AND RADIO STATIONS ARE EXPOSING ABOUT TO.

Villarroyo+Ampatuans=Presidency
NP spokesman Remulla admits visiting Andal Ampatuan Sr. last month

Nacionalista Party spokesman and senatorial candidate Gilbert Remulla admitted on Monday he visited former Maguindanao governor Andal Ampatuan Sr. last month to settle matters pertaining to his safety and security.
However, he vehemently denied seeking the endorsement of the influential Ampatuan clan, members of whom are accused of masterminding and/or participating in the killing 57 people, including journalists and women in November last year.
“(The supposed meeting) was of personal concern and not political, safety and security concern which I have to deal with directly and squarely," he told GMANews.TV over the phone.
Remulla assured that his advocacy for the safety of journalists and stopping the killings of media practitioners is stronger than ever.
“I have not wavered in my commitment to protect journalists. I condemn the Maguindanao killing and I wish for swift justice for the victims. I weep for the families of the victims," he said.
He reiterated that he really had to settle matters that’s why he decided to visit the Ampatuans.
“The visit has nothing to do with politics," he said.
The Ampatuans were also accused of manipulating votes in the province in the past elections.
In the meantime, fellow NP spokesperson and senatorial candidate Adel Tamano said Remulla did the right thing in admitting the visit and clarifying the party had nothing to do with it.
"He (Remulla) should make it very clear that it (visit) was without the sanction from the NP. From the very start, we have said that the Ampatuans are creations of GMA [President Gloria Macapagal Arroyo] so any talk or endorsement from the Ampatuans is really a support from GMA," he said.
Tamano, who is from Mindanao, said the NP "would never stand or allow solicitation of support from the Ampatuans."
Many people in Mindanao have told him to talk with the Ampatuans for support in the May polls "pero hindi ko ginagawa dahil wala akong maihaharap na mukha sa publiko pag ganun."
(But I didn’t do that because I wouldn’t be able to face the public if I did that.)
The Ampatuans were accused of maneuvering the votes in the province in the past elections which allegedly benefited administration candidates.
At the same time, Remulla denied that there was tension between him and Tamano.
"It was just an exchange of statements," he said.
Tamano expressed the same sentiments, adding he was satisfied with the clarification made by Remulla.
Meanwhile, NP standard bearer Manuel Villar Jr. said he knew nothing about the meeting.
"Hindi naman ako asawa ni Gilbert para pagpaalaman niya. Mabuti pa si Gilbert ang tanungin nyo dyan," Villar told reporters at the sidelines of a presidential forum organized by religious groups in Araneta Coliseum.
(I'm not Gilbert's spouse so it's not for him to ask my permission. It's better you ask him yourself.)

If I were in the shoes of VILLARROYO, I will change my attack dog ( Peter Cayetano, Gilbert Remulla, Adel Tamano) to another fresh and credible person, whose words can convince the undecided voters but not for the top,but rather for the second place, ERAP might take the 2nd place if you will not dump this 3 stooges. Every time this 3 stooges talk the more the NP candidates especially VILLARROYO decrease his ratings in all surveys. These 3 stooges are all baggage in your campaign that even the C130 plane can't take.
