MANILA - The Supreme Court (SC) has decided to hold the Bar Examinations at the University of Sto. Tomas (UST) for the fourth consecutive year this year.
The SC en banc, in a resolution dated April 22, approved the recommendation of Associate Justice Diosdado Peralta, chairperson of the 2014 Bar Examinations Committee, and the Office of the Bar Confidant (OBC) to hold the 2014 Bar Examinations in the 403-year old school situated in España, Manila.
The high court will begin negotiations with UST soon for the holding of its facilities for the purpose.
The examinations have been held in UST since 2011, a year after a blast rocked Taft Avenue near the De La Salle University where the examinations used to be held. Forty-seven people were injured in that blast.
The 2014 Bar exams will be held on the four Sundays of October: Oct. 5, 12, 19, and 26.
Applications will be accepted by the OBC starting June 1, and ending on July 15.
