MANILA - Senators tagged in the pork barrel scam are not bothered by the subpoena issued by the Blue Ribbon Committee for Justice Secretary Leila de Lima to produce the Janet Napoles list.

Senator Jinggoy Estrada said this should have long been done by committee chair TG Guingona.

"That should have been done a long time ago.

"Let them do their job," Senate Minority Leader Juan Ponce Enrile said of the subpoena, declining to comment further on the pending case before the Ombudsman.

"I will address the issues when we come to a courtroom," Enrile said.

Senator Ramon "Bong" Revilla, Jr. has previously dared Guingona to resign if he refuses to compel de Lima to release the list.

SUBPOENA NAPOLES TOO

Senator Chiz Escudero said the committee should not only subpoena the lists that are currently with de Lima and former Senator Panfilo Lacson, but also the list obtained by Sandra Cam.

The personalities who are in possession of the lists, including Napoles, should also be asked to attend the next hearing on the scam, he said.

Senate Majority Floor Leader Alan Peter Cayetano also wants the committee to subpoena the relevant records of the Commission on Audit, the Department of Budget and Management and other relevant agencies.

"Kung listahan lang ang lumabas, we will just satisfy the curiosity of the public, pero the public will not know which to believe at which not to believe, because there will be no way for them to verify. So for me, let's tell all, but let's also order the government to tell all. E hawak naman nila [ang] dokumento, so why can't they do this?" Cayetano said.
