Grace Poe's ranking proves clean polls: Locsin
MANILA - The number 1 ranking of Team PNoy candidate Grace Poe in the Senate race is the best validation of the May 2013 polls, former congressman Teddy Locsin said Tuesday.
Locsin said Poe's huge vote margin, based on the partial and unofficial results from the Commission on Elections, proves that there was no manipulation of the precinct count optical scan (PCOS) machines.
"You are not just number 1. You are number 1 by a huge margin. As I was saying earlier, I think you are the best, insofar as I am concerned, the best validation that this was an honest election because the surveys did not predict it, you don't have the machinery, (and) nobody goes out to the mayors and say: 'You got to vote for Grace Poe.' You are running independent, with Team PNoy, and you make it to the top by such a large margin," he told Poe.
"That means...well, it makes me comfortable that the machines were not manipulated. That is the best validation," he added.
Poe remains on top of the rankings in the Senate race with 14,679,015 votes, according to partial and unofficial results from Comelec.
